What football teams are in the new UFL?

What football teams are in the new UFL?

The new UFL, formed from the merger of the XFL and USFL, features eight teams divided into two conferences: USFL Conference and XFL Conference. Here they are:

USFL Conference:

  • Birmingham Stallions: USFL champions in 2023, led by Skip Holtz.
  • Houston Roughnecks: This team combines players and coaching staff from the Houston Gamblers (USFL) and Roughnecks (XFL).
  • Memphis Showboats: Returning from the USFL with Reggie Barlow as head coach
Michigan Panthers: Another familiar USFL squad, now coached by Mike Nolan.

XFL Conference:

  • Arlington Renegades: XFL champions in 2023, led by Bob Stoops
  • D.C. Defenders: Back after competing in the XFL, with Curtis Johnson as head coach.

San Antonio Brahmas: A new team for the UFL, coached by Wade Phillips

St. Louis Battle hawks: Another XFL transplant, now with Anthony Brecht as head coach.

Each team will play a 10-game regular season, kicking off on March 30, 2024. You can catch the games on ABC, ESPN, Fox, and FS1.

Are you excited about the new UFL season? Which team are you rooting for?
